Ownership & Buyer Kit
Everything to check before or after you pay for a website — domain, hosting, files, access, and what to ask a designer.
Cost calculator
A neutral, transparent way to compare what a website really costs over time — not just the number on the invoice.

The number on a quote or a plan page is rarely the whole story. A low upfront price can hide years of subscription fees; a platform with no listed price can still cost real money in add-ons and transaction fees. This calculator adds it all up honestly, using your own numbers, so you can compare options on the same terms.
Two example options are pre-filled below so you can see it work immediately — replace them with real quotes for your own comparison. Nothing here is weighted toward any particular type of provider, including us.
Estimates only, based on the numbers entered above — not a quote from The Website's Website or a guarantee of any provider's pricing. "Transfer/cancellation fee" and "migration/rebuild cost" are shown separately as an estimated cost to switch providers, not folded into the multi-year totals.
A website's total cost depends far more on how you pay than on where you are. A Las Vegas business shopping for a website is usually comparing three kinds of provider, and each one puts the cost in a different place — which is why two quotes for "a website" can look nothing alike.
The example figures pre-filled above are only there to show how the math works. They are illustrations, not quotes and not my prices — swap in the real numbers from the providers you're considering.
I don't publish a price list, because the honest answer depends on the items above. You tell me about the business, I review what you have now, and you see a concept for the new site — all complimentary, with no obligation to purchase. Then you get one specific quote for the project. Once the project is complete, the finished website is yours, and ongoing updates are a separate conversation based on what you actually need.
Whoever you hire, ask for every number this calculator has a field for — especially the monthly fees, the contract length, and what it costs to leave. The Ownership & Buyer Kit covers the ownership questions to ask before you sign.
